What are Glasses and Contact Lenses for Eyes?

You know different people have different types of eyes. The eyes can be differentiated in colors and shapes.
The working on all the eyes is the same. But in quite-a-few, people, the parts of the eye could not work properly. The use of contact lenses can rectify the problem of visualizing things.

How Eyes Work?

You would be amazed to know how our eyes work. Its working can only be understood if you understand its complexity. Our eyes are made of so many parts. You must know the functioning of a few of them.

1. Cornea: The front part of the eye is called Cornea. The cornea helps in reflecting the light.

2. Pupil: Light enters the eyes via hole. The hole is seen in the form of a black spot in the center of the eye. The hole is known as Pupil. The size of a pupil can automatically be adjusted. It depends on the amount of light that enters the eye.

3. Iris: The colored part of the eye is called the iris. It is usually black, brown or blue. It helps the pupil to shrink when the light is very bright. During low visibility, especially during the night, the pupil is wide open to pass more light.

4. Lens: When you see the microscopic particles in the microscope you need to adjust its lens to see that particle or microorganism. Similarly, we have lenses in our eyes. The muscles around the lens help it to focus on the light. Therefore the objects are seen.

5. Retina: Retina is an inner part of our eye. It is a fine coating of tissue. When the light falls on the retina, it sends signals to the brain via the optic nerve so that the brain can understand what the object is.

Eyesight Problem
If a person is unable to see things properly, it has got to do with the refractive problem. Refraction is bending the rays of light. If a person finds it difficult to read a book if a person finds it difficult to see things clearly that are placed far from him or a person is having blur the view. They should consult an eye specialist. Wearing specs or lens glasses will have them a clear vision.
