You just need to drill it well into their mind that you are the one who loves them the most. Drinking and smoking, adolescent pregnancy, ragging, underage sex, rebellious behaviors, companion pressure, and competition are some common teenage problems. None of them can be taken for granted. Trivial issues later can be transformed into a serious one.
